SSC CHSL Syllabus 2020 – Detailed SSC CHSL Exam Pattern & Latest Syllabus

SSC stands for Staff Selection Commission, SSC is the only body who decide the syllabus of SSC CHSL, and every year they release the detailed Syllabus of SSC CHSL. With the help of the detailed syllabus, the Candidate can be prepare strategically and in an asymmetric manner.

SSC CHSL is a Three-Tier exam, as there are three phases of the exam. These phases are given below:-

        ·       Tier 1 – Computer Based

       ·       Tier 2 – Descriptive Paper

        ·       Tier 3 – Skill Test

SSC CHSL Syllabus For TIER 2

The various topics that are included under this section are as tabulated below:

·     Essay Writing – 200-250 words

·     Application or Letter Writing – 150-200 words

As mentioned above, the SSC CHSL Tier 2 – In Descriptive Test asks you to write an essay and letter/application. Essay topics are usually any current social, political, economic or cultural issue. For letter/Application writing you can expect official topics. But it is always better to be aware of letter formats of all types.

SSC CHSL Syllabus For TIER 3

The Syllabus for SSC CHSL tier 3 exam will be a skill/typing test which
is qualifying nature. The various topics that are included in this section are tabulated below:

·     Speed Typing Test adjudged on the correct entry of data.

Data Entry Speed of 8000 key
depressions per hour on the computer. The ‘speed will be adjudged based on
the correct entry of words/key depressions as per the given passage

The duration of the test will be for 15
minutes and printed matter in English containing about 2000-2200
key-depressions would be given to each candidate who would enter the same in
the test computer

Data Entry Operator in the office of the
Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG)

The ‘speed of 15000 key depressions per
the hour will be adjudged based on the correct entry of words/key depressions as
per the given passage

The duration of the test will be for 15
minutes and printed matter in English containing about 3700-4000
key-depressions would be given to each candidate who would enter the same in
the test computer

Lower Division Clerk/ Junior
Secretariat Assistant (LDS/JSA) and Postal Assistants/ Sorting Assistants
(PA/SA)

The speed of 10500 key depressions per
the hour will be adjudged based on the correct entry of words/key depressions as
per the given passage

The duration of the test will be for 15 minutes and
printed matter in English containing about 9000 key-depressions/hour would be
given to each candidate who would enter the same in the test computer.
