RRB Group D Syllabus – Latest Syllabus & RRB Group D Exam Pattern

RRB stands for Railway Recruitment Board, it comes under the authority of the central government. It is the only exam conducting body that conducts the Railway Group D exam every year. And year it releases the Syllabus for the Railway Group D Exam, We are going to discuss the detailed syllabus for the Railway Group D Exam.

As per the syllabus of the Railway Group D Exam, there are four stages in group d exam and these are:-

  • Computer Based Test (CBT)
  • Physical Efficiency Test
  • Document Verification

RRB Group D- Computer Based Test (CBT)

All the candidates who want to appear for the Railway Group D Exam must check the Railway Group D Exam Pattern. Candidates must qualify in the computer-based test (CBT) to get select for the next stage of the exam.

  • The computer-based exam consists of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
  • There are a total of 100 questions in the exam, each question consisting of 1 mark.
  • The question paper will be conducted in 15 languages, candidates can give an exam in their regional language.
  • The total time duration of the exam is 90 minutes and it is 120 minutes for PWD candidates.
  • There is a negative marking of 1/3 mark for every wrong answer.

RRB Group D Physical Efficiency Test

Physical Efficiency Test (PET), which is the second stage of the exam is qualifying in nature.  Candidates who will get qualified in the computer-based test are called for the PET. Go through the table below to know the criteria for the Physical Efficiency Test.

RRB Group D Document Verification (DV)

On the basis of the performance of candidates in the CBT and physical efficiency test, candidates will be called for the document verification process.

  • Shortlisted candidates need to produce a NOC from the employer on the day of final selection.
  • Signatures of the candidates on all the documents should be identical, either in English or Hindi.
  • The candidate’s signature should match with the signature on their 10th official certificate.
  • The final selection of the candidates will be based on CBT, PET, and Document Verification.

SSC CGL Syllabus Tier III

In the 3rd Tier year exam. The main focus is on Writing skill of candidate. So the candidate can choose the language himself/herself from Hindi/English.

SSC CGL Syllabus Tier IV

The SSC CGL Merit List is always based on Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 exams. There is Total 15 min of time duration. Tier 4 is a skill test involving two tests:-

  • Data Entry Skill Test (DEST)
  • Computer Proficiency Test (CPT)

DEST: Only those candidates who have opted for the Tax Assistant Posts in Central Excise & Income Tax will sit in DEST. Hence, DEST will be tested at 2000 key depressions per hour for 15 minutes. This test will be of qualifying nature. Computers for the test will be provided by the Commission at the Centre/ venue notified for the purpose. The Skill Test will be held at the Commission‟s Regional/ Sub-Regional Offices or at other Centres as may be decided by the commission.

CPTCPT is for those applicants who have applied for Assistant Section Officer Post in CSS only. Hence, candidates are supposed to appear for the Computer Proficiency Test to approve the selection and display their reassurance and comfort of computer usage. The Commission will hold Computer Proficiency Test (CPT), comprising of three modules: (i) Word Processing, (ii) Spread Sheet and (iii) Generation of Slides, for the posts of Assistant Section Officer in CSS, MEA & AFHQ, Assistant in Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Assistant (GSI) in the Ministry of Mines, Inspector (Central Excise), Inspector (Preventive Officer) & Inspector (Examiner) in CBIC. The CPT will be conducted in the manner decided by the Commission for the purpose. No exemption from CPT is allowed for any category of PwD candidates. CPT will be of qualifying nature.
